What is BCP oil?
BCP (aka Beta-Caryophyllene) is a terpene and constituent common to hemp, black pepper, cloves and lavender. It is used in the US for metabolic and nervous system adaptation, making it very popular among elite athletes.
It acts via CB2 receptors, part of your endocannabinoid system (endo = internal / within, cannibas = constituents of cannibas, ergo endocannabinoid = the substances found in cannibas which your body produces naturally). CB2 receptors are found in high amounts in the substantia nigra, a part of the midbrain associated with reward, learning and memory.
What are the benefits of BCP oil?
As BCP has demonstrated to moderate the nervous system, prevent neuropathic pain, and dampen inflammation most people use BCP oil to treat arthritis, anxiety, depression, stress, and insomnia.
Is it legal in Australia?
Yes, BCP oil is 100% legal to purchase and consume under the basis that it is classified as a terpene by the therapeutic goods administration.
Read the snippet below from the official scheduling by the TGA (p30):
"Research by the secretariat has confirmed that Beta-Caryophyllene is a terpene that is a selective agonist of cannabinoid receptor type-2 (CB2) and for the purposes of this scheduling entry, the delegate does not define BCP as a cannabinoid."
