Nonviolent Communication Practice Group

Oxytocin-Dosing. In-Person at Taringa Rovers Clubhouse

2 hr
10 Australian dollars
108 Fairley Street

Service Description

Clarify your Communication. Experience Agenda-Free Presence-Based Connection. Enjoy the buoyancy of belonging in cohesive Community. Bask in regular ongoing dose of Oxytocin. NVC (NonViolent Communication) is a movement started in the 1960's by Psychologist Marshall Rosenberg. Rosenberg taught NVC across the globe, demonstrating its applicability to schools, prisons and even war-torn countries, where it has been used by the United Nations for mediating long-standing conflict. Our practice group has been meeting monthly for four years, seeing friendships, business partnerships and romantic relationships through the process known as a dyad. Each session, we sit in circle to meditate. Your facilitator will introduce the theme. We break out into pairs to sit in dyad, a process of deep listening. We close again in circle. Participants report a sense of belonging and non-judgement, often accompanied by an emotional release. Many of us are members of the Australia-wide and global NVC Community, and there are always plenty of options to extend your NVC practice. We are hugely appreciative of our members who collectively contribute to the costs of running the group. To join as a member, please pick the next available time (this is just to get your name on the list) and your phone number will be added to the WhatsApp Group chat for reminders about our upcoming sessions.
