There are only small windows in the life course in which a family retreat is possible. Too young and the children i’m not yet formulated their own ideas. Too old and the children have their own lives running. A co-created experience can shift trauma within the individuals as well as inter-generationally ESPECIALLY when we build in certain scaffolding, such as the co-created Perfect Family Ritual which can be polished over time as a precious gift to future generations. The beauty of retreat for uprooting trauma is that it does through the core needs of safety, belonging, attachment and security, that is, WITHOUT needing to repeat our stories.
