Mindfulness for Beginners


Whether you're here to break habits or better understand yourself, it all starts with a practice in mindfulness.

My teacher always said "Consistency of practice is the secret to success" and just like training your muscles at the gym, mindfulness is a skill you can improve.

Track 1 is for calm.  This is important because life sometimes get stormy and we need to know we've "got ourselves" no matter what.

Use track 1 every morning and evening for a week.  It helps if you create a space that you like to practice in.

Track 2 is for comfort.  This is how we soothe ourselves when we're shaken or stirred.  Learning to use your breath is like riding a bike. Once you've got it, you've got it for life. 

Use track 2 every morning and evening for the second week. It helps if you're wearing something that's super comfortable.

Track 3 is for capability. This is where you'll learn to take on life's challenges.  When you can face what you feel and love yourself anyway, you'll be ready to take on the adventure of life. 

Use track 3 every morning and evening for the third week.  It helps if you still like you really know you're stuff.

Track 4 is the one that you design.  How will you speak to yourself now you own your own mind?  How will you treat yourself now you can hear your body's desires?  What will you create with the time that is your life?
